An automated warehouse brings increased performance and decreased costs. Order processing, inventory management, warehouse space optimization and end-to-end traceability are no longer a problem for a warehouse that has understood that investing in a modern, flexible and extensible WMS system actually means increased profitability.
Flexible and extensible WMS solutions for profitable warehouses
Increase profitability in logistics and distribution with the right software solutions
Worldwide, distribution has become a particularly dynamic economic sector, and trade itself has undergone mutations on all levels, diversifying sales methods and forms of distribution. The main phenomena that generated this "mutation" are:
-
the demographic phenomena that left their mark on the evolution of customer tastes, favoring the modernization of distribution
-
increasing purchasing power, diversifying needs and ways to satisfy them
-
the transformation of the way of life determined by the increasingly high degree of urbanization, the expansion of large cities through the development of new neighborhoods, etc.
Upgrade and expand your production capacity and streamline your business using ERP, CRM, BI or WMS systems
This year small and medium companies can increase their profitability and maximize business potential through European funding.
Why should you start using a Warehouse Management System (WMS)?
In the current economic context, the idea of buying a WMS system has become increasingly popular among companies that have less complex systems of storage and large incomes, but also for companies with a large number of customers and low volume turnover.
The main function of a warehouse management system is to control the movement and storage of products in the store and transaction-related operations and processes.
Have you ever wondered what having a successful business means? A successful distribution business, like any business, starts with a successful business plan, with hard working and involved people, to help it grow "organically". This "organic" growing requires time and attention.
But how do you know if your distribution business is moving in the right direction? How can you make sure that you know at any time what happens to your money? What are the signals that you need systems for business growth? After 22 years of experience and thousands of discussions with distribution business people,
Cross-docking is a warehouse activity, a transfer of goods from trucks that come from a distribution center (from manufacturers in most cases) onto trucks that go to the final customers. Cross-docking means reducing or partially removing the storage activity, reducing the stock activities (inventory, putaway, transfer, etc) and, finally, the costs.
As mentioned previously, late last year I had the opportunity to meet a few Logistics Managers, to reconfirm the most important challenges in their field. The conclusions of these meetings were made from both the interviews and my personal observations, and among the most important challenges in logistics management was the lack of flexibility.
