# Digitalization, indispensable to meet logistical challenges

The logistics industry, although it has an increased resistance to change due to the complexity of the processes, is among those for which digitization brings the greatest benefits.

Digital transformation requires new digital business models for companies that want to remain profitable and maintain their market position. Like most industries, transport and logistics are currently facing a series of important changes, which bring both risks and many opportunities: new technologies, changing customer expectations and new business models. Thus, logistics companies are facing an era of unprecedented change as digitalization takes hold and customer expectations evolve.

Specialists in the logistics field say that in the next five years we will see a significant increase in the adoption of digital solutions in this sector, and the changes will be made following major investments. In the era of digitalization, the logistics industry must evaluate the possibilities and opportunities offered by technology and adapt to them. Digitalization spending estimates are estimated at $9.4 billion worldwide in the coming years.

As you grow your business, it's imperative to rethink your operating model so that your supply chain can handle more orders and deliver faster. By implementing software solutions dedicated to the logistics industry, you can improve your efficiency and benefit from competitive advantages, while expanding your business.

### Segmentation of workflows

When it comes to optimizing processes and workflows, you really have to answer the question: How do we get the customer to buy from us? It's not that simple, is it? You have to invest in a warehouse, have the product in stock, have no errors in the inventory and you have to have a good price too. To be able to do all these things, you need to optimize all the processes in the warehouse – in a word, work efficiently. The simpler and clearer the processes, the easier and faster you can do things.

You need to set up ideal workflows. This first step allows you to identify where flows or staff most often get stuck, so you can refine your technology strategy for greater efficiency. Make a list of all the bottlenecks in as much detail as possible (e.g. how many extra steps or seconds it takes to collect, pack or take the products to the storage location).

### FluxVision WMS helps you become profitable
